From Dublin
From the M50 take Red Cow Exit in the direction of Limerick/Cork (N7/N8). Near Portlaoise take the exit for Durrow (N77). After you go through Abbeyleix you will go through some forestry, when you come out of the forestry take the fourth turn to the left which is a cul de sac L17361. The entrance to Castlewood House is the first entrance on the right along the lane. (Approx. 1hr)
From Cork
Take the N8 to Dublin. Exit the motorway at the Urlingford/Kilkenny exit and follow the printed signs for Durrow. After passing through Durrow take the first right turn after you pass by Dunne’s nursery on the left-hand side of the N8. The lane is marked as a cul de sac L17361. The entrance to Castlewood House is the first entrance on the right along the lane. (Approx. 2hrs)
From Limerick
Take the N7 to Dublin. Approx. 1km on the Dublin side of Borris-in-Ossory turn right for Ballacolla (sign posted). Go straight through the crossroads at Ballacolla and 8km straight on to Durrow. Turn left at the T Junction (N77 old Dublin-Cork Road). Continue until you pass by Dunne’s nursery on the left-hand side of the N77. The lane is marked as a cul de sac L17361. The entrance to Castlewood House is the first entrance on the right along the lane. (Approx. 2hrs) |
